Mazzie's Class Essentials
Now that we are officially done with Winter break and Spring semester has officially started I wanted to share with you all my backpack pick for this semester as well as what I always carry in it because although I am a college student and a 19 year old, a "must have for me" is a chic backpack and pretty school supplies! My excitement to go school shopping for every semester never fails!!!
For this semester, I did not go out and purchase my backpack because my parents ordered it online and it arrived just in time to be wrapped up and put under the X-MAS tree. I LOVE backpacks that are good quality, chic, and above all are comfortable to use on a daily basis. Specially with such busy schedule, hectic major, and a huge campus. Even before college my go-to backpacks were from Kipling. They are extremely long-lasting and worth the money. I usually try to purchase there metallic colored bags simply because i am obsessed with metallic colors such as Rose Gold, Gold, or Silver. They are very stylish and at the same time get the job done. This time around, while i was researching for some of their colors, I was debating on getting a fun color such as this deep wine fuchsia color backpack which i though would go great for Spring Semester. However, I saw their new collection that consisted of metallic deep grey colored backpacks and instantly fell in L-O-V-E with them!, solid simplicity! So, I decided on the metallic grey color which to my surprise was already under the x-mas tree.
If you need an advice on choosing the perfect backpack for college or school in general, I think i will always recommend Kipling just because the quality is sooooooo amazing! it lasts F-O-R-E-V-E-R! believe me. Of course,I wont lie i love designer ones such as Marc Jacobs school backpack collection because of the difference of them and less people are likely to have it but when it comes down to it, I prefer having a backpack that will last a long time and have enough space for everything i use while being in classes. Because it is for school but i also keep some essentials i cant live without.
ALL of my school supplies are from Target.

Kipling Backpack retails for $195.00 (Bag Charm is NOT from Kipling, you can find these anyplace from Designers to even retails stores)

I love this backpack mainly because of the amount of storage it has. It has a big pocket which is of course for binders and heavier materials, a middle one right under the brand that I love to put my card holder and any knick knacks that I may have (although I am very picky and hate having a messy backpack) or if in the case i take a granola bar that's where i would place it. Lastly, it has two front pockets which are actually very spacious and you can place anything in them. I usually place my phone in one of them.

I wanted to include a picture of the interior of the bag mainly because not many people know how amazing these backpacks are and the amazing quality they have, it has a storage for your laptop which helps protect it much better and being a college student that takes her laptop literally everyday it's a major plus for me. Also, the interiors of these vary in color, I have had a couple and they are all different lol but they are so good and a good material that you can easily clean yet is not nylon!

Yes, indeed I am a 19 year old but i just can't seem to contain myself when getting school supplies lol! As mentioned earlier, all these are from Target. One advice I can give to any college student out there is to purchase both of your semesters (Fall & Spring) during August before your Fall semester starts. I do this because you dont have to worry about what you need for your spring semester during your winter break and most importantly, if you are like me and love to have cute supplies....these cute supplies come out during the regular "Back to School" time that is when Elementary, Middle, and High School students start school!!!!
This time I went for polka dot, metallic, neutral color scheme but still adding pops of color. I really love to use notebooks whose papers are O-R-G-A-N-I-C !! I just love the difference in the paper color; being an off white/beige color as opposed to the standard white college rule notebook paper (boring!)

I know what you may be thinking, "2 pencil pouches?!.....that's a bit excessive" Well, to be completely honest I have 2 pencil pouches because i use them for different things. So, my FAVORITE pouch which i do use for my pencils, pens, highlighters, etc. is my NATE BERKUS for Target White and Gold foil pouch. It is honestly the best one out there and i wouldn't change it for the world! It has so much space it is lightweight and its so pretty!!! The silver sparkly one is what i call my class toiletry pouch. I keep all of my important things from hygiene to Earphones, as you can see below..............

I am a full time student and I am basically on campus for about 8 hours. From 8:00am to 2:00pm so I like to be clean at all times and freshen up when I am feeling a bit tired. Also, I like to maintain some products such as Picot and Pills for myself in the case that i start feeling bad. I tend to get heart burn with a lot of foods so i always have to really consume food that doesn't make me get heartburn. However, sometimes being a full time student with back to back classes it is inevitable to control what you eat and specially in such a big campus with so many people so keeping picot is very helpful and makes me feel better. Also, i like to keep pills for headaches and cramps. My card holder is extremely important to me as i keep my PantherID, Credit/Debit Cards, ID, and license. The rest is mainly things for hygiene i would say, roller perfume for easy on the go access, lotion for my hands, hand sanitizer, nail file, and chap sticks/lipsticks!
That is all i keep in my backpack during school semesters! I hope you get some inspiration to prepare your backpack and make it the perfect bag for school!!!!!
