My Obsession
If you know me you know I'm obsessed with skin care. As I get older I've realized how important it is to take care of my skin. I will be posting much more skin care posts on my blog but I wanted to share with you all a little something that definitely has been making my face more hydrated and smoother. My mom always told me that Rose water is really good for your skin, however, i never bothered to actually go out and purchase some. But this past two years i have been highly in love with incorporating it into my skin care routine.
Rose water is known to hydrate, tone, and smooth your skin. It has a very light rose smell that is very feminine and fresh, which makes your face feel so clean and relaxed. The best part of Rose water is that it great on all skin types; no matter if you have oily, dry, combination skin, or even acne, it works wonders!
Thanks to all the health benefits that i came across while researching on it two years ago, Rose water has been a staple in my life and also in my purse! I always keep a rose water spray and bottle in my bathroom for while i do my skin care routine day and night (It is really good to use it any time of the day and however times you feel like). For starters, rose water helps you sleep much better because it relaxes all your nerves and when you wake, you feel extremely refreshed. It also balances your pH levels and for all my oily skin types it controls any excess oil that you might have, it lightens any dark spots, and regenerates skin cells. When people ask me how i keep my skin so healthy and soft all the times, my answer is Rose Water.
My Go-To Products

Mario Badescu $7 at Ulta: I can honestly spritz this on my face everyday and at any time of the day, it is so hydrating and refreshing. It makes my skin look glowy but not oily and i sometimes even use it as a second primer if i want a more glowy, healthy, not full coverage makeup look. I love this product because it not only contain rose water but it also contains a combination of Aloe and Herbs. This product can also be found in stores such as Saks Fifth Avenue, Bluemercury, Anthropologie, and even Urban Outfitters for the same price of $7.

Herbivore Rose Hibiscus $32 at Sephora: This mist honestly improves your skin every time you spray a little on your face, it has every fine skincare ingredient that your skin needs and should have everyday. Cocunut water and Rose, with healthy herbs that heal your skin from any damage or dryness.

L'Oreal Hydrafresh Toner $6.39 at Walgreens: For the best drugstore rose water toner i HIGHLY recommend this product. It truly has great results on your skin and it is best when at home, I also have this one in my bathroom and i tend to use this one most during my night care routine where i use a cotton pad and apply a little since their is no applicator to this product. It makes my skin feel very clean and it takes any excess makeup off that my wipes and cleanser or clarasonic didnt take off.

Fresh Rose Floral Toner $40.00 at Sephora: This product contains the best aromatic floral waters and it helps moisturize your skin. It is a higher end product but i totally recommend it for your skin since it helps build your skin better.
Also.....Drink Rose Water

A very intersting thing about rose water is that you can make it at home and drink it! I know it sounds funky hehehe but trust me when i say is really good. Apart from its different yet yummy flavor, it is highly recommended because it helps with stress and even allergies! It was used way back in the time of Cleopatra but now it has been seen as a form of healthy eating/drinking trend. The plant contains many health benefits such as Terpenes, Glycosides, flavonoids, and anthocyanins that are very good for your system. There are many ways to create a tasty rose water but one of my favorites is to incorporate some in a lemonade. This way if you are not to fond of the rose taste then you barely taste it but it is still an ingredient.
